Today we began the process of adding CN2 to our Los Angeles network. This process typically requires no downtime, but our network engineers ran into an issue with the way that Noction, which we use for intelligent routing, interacts with Netflow. Noction, which is critical to providing lower latency and higher reliability than traditional BGP, requires Netflow to work. The official Cisco resolution to this matter involves a router reboot.
As a result, today at 6:00PM local time (PST), we will need to reboot our routers in Los Angeles. This process should be completed within 30 minutes. After completion, CN2 should be ready. Thank you for your patience and if you have any questions, please let us know.
